Well with one thing and another we've been somewhat constricted in our gigging this year but November saw us head off down a freezing cold motorway to Nottingham to play at the Maze. This gig also sees the live debut of the Muse Receptor which is taking over live sequencing duties from the rag tag collection of old synths, drum machines and mp3 players that we've been using so far.
So after a couple of good support bands we take the stage and play a great set. Despite a small problem getting the click track working "well enough to hear but without being too audible in the audience" the Recptor holds up well and we're quite pleased with our performance.
But it wasn't all plain sailing as having loaded up the van after the gig we were unable to set off as the clutch cable snapped. So we had to unload the gear again and return it to the venue for safekeeping overnight. The following morning we then loaded the van again ready for the AA to take usback to chilly Poulton.
We must also apologise for the lack of pictures this time around. This was entirely down to forgetting to take a spare set of batteries for the camera which duly gave up just before we were due to go on stage. Best pack a couple of spare sets next time !
