Having mustered ourselves nice and early in the morning it was all going rather well. Too well in fact as we suffered a puncture on the way to the airport. To make things worse the toolkit that came with Larrys car appears to have been made out of plasticine. But thanks to a fortuitously placed AA man, who lent us a proper socket, we managed to get to the airport on time - albeit in a somewhat dishevelled state.
A short flight later and we arrived in Naples airport to be greeted by our Italian hosts who drove us up into the mountains of Sieti where we would make camp for the night. And a most excellent camp it was, our hosts were nothing short of excellent and we had a fine old time.
So onto the next day where we mostly lounged around until it was time to head for the gig. Once again our excellent Italian hosts drove us back to Salerno and made sure we had everything we required. They wouldn't even let us buy a drink all night ! I just hope our pounding set was fair recompense for all their efforts as we played one of our best gigs of the year.
Support on the night was from local favourites Noise Room.
So it just remains for us to say (thanks to the wonders of the Babel Fish... Please correct us if this is wrong !)
"Saluti Sieti, il saluto Salerno, noi li ringraziano per il nostro tempo beatiful !"
