The Empress Ballroom, Blackpool Winter Gardens on 16th October 2006

Well it's the third time New Order have played Blackpool, so in keeping with tradition, Section get the support slot. As those of you old enough to remember will now Section 25 supported both Joy Division and New Order on all their previous Blackpool dates which were (in chronological order) The Imperial Hotel, Scamps, The Princess Cinema and now the Empress Ballroom.

Given that this was definitely the biggest venue played so far this year, and given that it was a home town gig to boot, we also arranged for the performance to be filmed. Once some editing has bee n completed it will feature as part of a forthcoming DVD release.

As there were several people there taking photographs we've finally got some high quality pictures of the band in action. Thanks to Karen Duckworth and Nat Cassidy for the pictures !
